Alauddin Ali

Alauddin Ali ((ベンガル語:আলাউদ্দিন আলী), Born: December 24, 1952) is a Bangladeshi music director and composer. He received the National Film Award three times at a time for the movies named Golapi Ekhon Traine, Sundori and Koshai in 1978, 1979 and 1980 consecutively. Later he wpm the award for two more times. He received the lifetime achievement award from Shuvechchha Sangskritik Forum for the last 12 years contribution in music.
==Early life==
Alauddin's father, Jadob Ali, was a staff artiste at the Dacca Radio. His uncle, Ustad Sadek Ali and cousins Mansur Ali, Dhir Ali Miah, Yunus Ali and Momotaz Uddin were all renowned music composers and directors of the Dacca Radio Station during the 1960s.
Ali's uncle, Ustad Sadek Ali had given him a Chinese violin as a gift when he was only a student of class three. At that age he practiced on the tabla, along with his sister who practiced on the sitar. He also ventured on esraj of his father, composing tunes. Ali received the award of Best Children Artist as a Behala player in All Pakistan Children Competition in 1964 from Ayub Khan. During 1967-68, he learnt the piano under music director Karim Shahabuddin, besides practicing violin.
==Career==
His journey as a music director in the film industry started through the movie titled Shondikshon directed by Mir Mohammad Halim in 1976.〔 In 1978, the music of the film ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' and ''Fakir Majnu Shah'' gave him fame all around the country. In the same year, his best selling album featuring Runa Laila released and it broke all the previous records. He also composed songs in Kolkata, Mumbai, Lahore and Karachi]. During the grand celebrations of 300th anniversary of Kolkata, he was invited in a reception at Salt Lake Stadium in the city, along with prominent singers and composers including Salil Chowdhury and others in 1990. He composed the music for the SAAF Games Ceremony in 1993 at Dhaka Stadium, where more than8000 artistes sang to his tune.〔
